Ephraim Kishon (hebräisch אפרים קישון, geboren als Ferenc Hoffmann am 23. August 1924 in Budapest, Ungarn; gestorben am 29. Januar 2005 in Meistersrüte, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Schweiz) war ein israelischer Journalist, Schriftsteller und Film- und Theaterregisseur ungarischer Herkunft. Sein Schwerpunkt lag in der humoristischen Darstellung des israelischen Alltags und seines Familienlebens. Er schrieb zumeist Kurzgeschichten, aber auch Theaterstücke und Drehbücher. Kishon gilt als einer der erfolgreichsten Satiriker des 20. Jahrhunderts im deutschsprachigen Raum.
